Potential Uses
As A Client
Other uIP applications could be compiled to run under the Rainbow.
In the future when the port is upgraded to uIP 0.9, there will
also be Telnet and HTTP clients. The simple, portable design of
uIP could allow a host of other clients to operate on the Rainbow.
As A Server
You may have noticed that web pages load slow over a 19200 bps
connection. The Rainbow would not make a particularly good web
server. However, it is adequate. Other uses could be a
Telnet server or a SMTP server.
Remember also that this port of uIP runs on any FOSSIL-capable system.
An outdated PC with a faster serial port could be used to serve a
host of applications.
