The GNU/Linux Proxy
A small Debian-powered system acts as a proxy server between the Rainbow and the Internet.  Don't be fooled, however, as the Rainbow is running a true TCP/IP stack.

The GNU/Linux gateway running Apache simply proxies requests, passing them onto the Rainbow (at IP address 192.168.2.2) rather than handle the request itself.

The Rainbow is connected to the GNU/Linux gateway via a serial connection using SLIP.
